Start with the blade size and version
HADAK offers a small 16 × 24 cm blade and a large 20 × 27 cm blade. A legget is used to drive, dress and finish reed. Blade size is one choice; the connection, handle and blade construction determine the item code to request.
If you already have a legget you like, note its blade size and item code. This helps you request the same version or discuss a change with Henri. A photograph alone may not identify the exact version.
Small blade: A1 to A11
There are eleven small-blade versions. A3 has a pressing edge and aluminium handle; A6 has a pressing edge and plastic handle; A7 has a pressing edge and wooden handle. A4 is the blade with socket, while A5 has both a socket and pressing edge.
A8 combines a plastic ring blade, wooden handle and aluminium rings. A9 has brass rings. A10 and A11 are listed with a medium-length handle; its exact length is still to be confirmed.
Large blade: B3, B5, B8 and B9
B3 and B5 have an aluminium blade and socket. Both measure 270 × 200 mm; B3 is 12 mm thick and B5 is 15 mm thick. B8 and B9 have a plastic blade with brass rings. B8 is listed with a long handle.
For a blade with a socket, ask explicitly whether a handle is included. The handle configuration of B9 still needs confirmation. The product page separates confirmed details from questions to resolve with your quotation.

There is no single blade size that suits every thatcher. Compare your current tool with the listed dimensions and discuss your preference with Henri. Ask about weight, wood species or any handle length that has not been confirmed.
